Full Body Acupuncture
The first treatment will take 1 hr 15 mins with a thorough consultation taking details of symptoms, medical history, sleep pattern, digestion and any medication etc. Pulses on both arms will be taken and Carri will observe your tongue. These 3 examinations form the basis of the diagnosis. From here Carri will discuss a treatment plan with you, and if this is acceptable, treatment will commence and can include needles, moxa or Gua Sha. Mobile phones need to be turned off as relaxation is encouraged. Subsequent treatments take 45 mins.
Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture
The treatment will take 45 mins. No clothing is removed. This seated arrangement can be beneficial for patients with mobility issues. A a full consultation is given as described above. Mobile phones need to be turned off during the treatment as patients will fall into a deep relaxation.
Contrary to what one might expect, needles when inserted are not painful. Generally one experiences relaxation and a sense of calmness.
After the treatment you will feel very relaxed and it is important to be aware of this if you need to drive.
